Sunday Snog

Welcome to another Sunday Snog, this week a smooch from Heat of the Day which is out on Tuesday but can  be pre-ordered now from Amazon or grabbed ready to read today from the publisher.

Back Cover Information

When three become two with no explanation, emotions run high, passions flare and hearts are ripped apart.

Everyone can remember a perfect summer—one with endless blue skies, a heart brimming with true love and nights full of hot, sweaty lust. Well, we’ve just had a summer like that, Piper and I, and it was spent in Spain with a man who had that certain je ne sais quoi that we couldn’t resist.

Seraphim came into our lives and blinded us with his beauty, his charisma and his exotic charm. His generosity with his mind, his affection and his body blew us away and the three of us became a joyously tangled trio who needed nothing more than to be together.

So when he left, when we had no way of tracing him, the despair was black, the pain raw and our only comfort was each other. But why did Sera leave? What would make a man walk away from his lovers? And if he showed up again on the doorstep, what the hell would happen after so much angst? One thing’s for sure, it would be an explosive reunion in many ways. Absence might make the heart grow fonder, but it can make the rest of the body highly volatile as need wars with hurt, and pain collides with desire.

Reader Advisory: This book contains M/M and M/F scenes.

Piper stopped. Her feet sank a little in the sand and the waves washed around her ankles, tickling, stroking. She held her breath. Let the knowledge of what she was seeing settle in her fuddled mind. Except there was nothing fuddled about her mind—she knew full well what she was looking at and that was Flynn and Sera walking toward her.
He’s back.
What they’d been dreaming of, hoping for, it had happened.
She clasped her hand to her mouth, held in a squeak of delight then, heart racing, pushed into a run. The water splashed around her, up to her waist, the sea and the cliffs became a haze as she sped along.
“Piper!”
Sera’s voice. God, she’d know it anywhere.
She picked up the pace, running as fast as she could.
He was running too, getting closer by the second.
And it was him—her beautiful, handsome Sera. The wind pressed his T-shirt to his torso and spray billowed around his pounding feet, water kicked up behind him.
“Sera!” she shouted, spreading her arms.
He was smiling, his expression one of pure happiness.
A sob burst from her chest as their bodies collided. She was aware of his arms wrapping around her, tugging her close. Oh, how she’d prayed for this moment. And now it was here.
She practically crawled up his body then hooked her legs about his waist, crossing her ankles in his lower back.
He spun a full three-sixty and found her mouth.
He kissed her, hard, his scratchy chin reminding her all over again how much she loved him.
She darted her tongue between his lips, gripped his shoulders and pressed her breasts as close to his warm hard body as she could.
“You’re back...” she mumbled through their kiss.
“Yes...” He cupped her ass with one hand and slid the other into her hair.
Still she clung to him, limpet-style. “Don’t go away again.”
“I won’t.”
He grinned and she knew he was telling the truth. He wouldn’t leave them, not again. Flynn appeared at her side. His jog had left him a little breathless.
“Flynn,” Piper said, reaching out and curling her hand around his shoulders.
Flynn kissed her and she could sense the excitement, the pleasure at having Sera home rolling off him. “When did...?”
“Midday,” Sera said. “I left Lisbon first thing.”
“Are you okay?” Piper asked, releasing Flynn and tracing the pattern of Sera’s tattoo, which peeked from his right sleeve.
The two men glanced at each other.
“What?” she asked with a sudden flutter of worry in her chest.
“Nothing,” Sera said. “I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah.”
She glanced at Flynn, her eyebrows pulled low. Something didn’t add up.
“He’s had a rough time,” Flynn said, brushing a stray curl of Sera’s hair from his cheek.
“Haven’t you?”
Sim.” Sera fluttered his eyes shut for a brief moment as Flynn squeezed in close and brushed lips over his.
“But you’re okay?” Piper worried, loving seeing them kiss again, like the old days, when everything had been perfect.
It was perfect now. Wasn’t it?
Flynn rested his hand on her back and rubbed a slow circle, his touch reassuring but not completely convincing.
“I’m okay,” Sera said. “But yes, things were bad in Lisbon.”
“But he can explain everything,” Flynn added quickly. “Later.”
“As long as you’re really okay and you’re here.” Piper smiled. It felt so good to smile—a real smile. One that stretched her mouth and balled her cheeks. She kissed Sera again and jiggled within his embrace.
He half laughed and half groaned as she pushed against him. He slid his hands to her butt and squeezed her through her tiny shorts.
“I’ve missed you,” he said breathily against her lips.
“And we’ve missed you.” She curled her hand around Flynn, drawing him into their embrace again. “So what have you boys been up to all day?” She licked her lips and allowed a luscious image of them fucking in the caravan to overtake her.
“We’ve had...fun...” Sera said, glancing at Flynn.
“Yeah,” Flynn said, giving a small nod. “We have.”
“Fucking fun?” Piper asked, looking between the two of them.
“No, we thought we’d save that for you,” Flynn said.
“A proper hello. All three of us.”
