Lest We Forget #RemembranceSunday #BreconBeacons

Mr H loves to march me around the Brecon Beacons in Wales at the weekend - good job I'm fit and find it kind of romantic! - and when we were there recently we came across this crash site.

It's from World War II and marks the spot where 6 Canadian servicemen lost their lives. They were flying low and hit the side of the mountain. The wreckage from the plane is still there, as is a small rocky monument and plaque.

On Remembrance Sunday, people trek up the mountain (it's a good hour of uphill climbing and ridgeway walking to get to it) and pay their respects. As it's not very accessible to many people, I wanted to take these pictures to share as a mark of respect. They will never be forgotten.
